“How Microsoft has impacted my life and how I'm plan to bring a change to the society with the help of Technology being a Microsoft Student Associate?”
Hi, I’m UMK Dikshit and I’m doing B.Tech(CSE) from SLC College of Engineering.
Computers was a fascinating machines for me which I didn't understood but only could say it does things which are good to watch.I was introduced to computers when I was Class 3 but at that time I was too small to understand "What is this called as?".I was new and I struggled to know about yes! I had hard time to figure it out and atlast got know it is a "Computer".(Hmm! What does it do mainly?)
As I grew up I became more interested in that machine which fascinated me in my childhood.Again this "Computer" has came across my life.This time I was supposed to learn "Office".I was made to sit and I was staring at the screen with some questions going in my brain.The computer seem to be saying "Hello! Boy.Seems that we have met again and you are grown-up know".The question was "What does it do basically?","How to use it?".Then my teacher started her explanation about the computer.The impact it has done me is to write many pages of notes on this thing.(My first Impact ;) ).
Then there was no more this thing in my childhood and passed my schooling without this thing again in my life.Till then I didn't know "What is Microsoft?".I came to know about it by preparing for a Quiz and in that one of the question was "Who was the Richest man in the World?".The answer was "Bill Gates".But how did he become richest man in the world.Then I came to know about Microsoft which is a software company which has develops a software called "Windows" (Yah! I know that is an Operating System.But I thought it was software then.)
From then I started to hear news "Windows" and "Microsoft" but never thought that it would change my Life one day.Later when I got passionate about the Computers from the childhood I started to about the computers more and its role in Technology."How Windows was responsible for Revolution in Technology?".
Later my fascination became my career and I decided to be a computer science graduate.So that I can learn about this thing more.Then the Impact of it started and I was surprised to know many things about "Microsoft" and its various products..
Later when I started learning C# language then I came across something more beautiful and awesome that is "Visual Studio".The way it changed my life literally made me to fall in love with this technology.But it also made me lazy in programming because of its "Drag-Drop" feature it has and also the "Intelli Sense".Literally after that I became too addicted to it.(I was searching for similar IDE for Java.That is the height of laziness...).So that I need not write that many lines of code for programs.
But this was my step towards the "Technology World" and made me restless.Where my hunger for knowledge in this "Tech World" have grown more...
I will say Microsoft has impacted my life but changed the way I think,learn and develop.It has made me to learn some great lessons which changed my career in IT and also my life.

Changing the society being a Microsoft Student Associate?
- Will provide a platform to take the learning to next level for people not enrolled with us making it socially apparent.
- This will be achieved by conducting various activities, workshops etc. at the college and division level.
- Opportunity to latest development tools and trainings to enhance skills and an edge to work cross functionally bringing about the versatility
